The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ranks Trumbull County as one of the most smoker heavy counties in the country, with well more than twice the national average of the population puffing on cigarettes. The FDA hopes to do something about that with a $ million initiative called Every Try Counts..In a blog post on the agency s website, three top officials said they want to ensure the FDA has the right policies to advance new products to help smokers. "Our goal is to enable greater use of safe and effective options to help those who are addicted to nicotine get the help they need to quit combustible .The "Every Try Counts" campaign targets smokers ages who have attempted to quit smoking in the last year but were unsuccessful.
